Summary

In Chapter 7, Emika becomes one of the wild cards in this year's Warcross Championship - the only one who is not internationally ranked and with a criminal record. On the plane, Emika relieves some of her favorite memories of her father through the Memory Worlds portion of Warcross before falling asleep. In her dreams, Emika remembers what led to her criminal record: her hacking of the school computers and students' computers and phones as retribution for humiliating her friend Annie by posting a naked photo of her. After posting all their private information, Emika was expelled. She arrives in Tokyo and is stunned by the city and how much virtual reality is incorporated into it when she uses the NeuroLink glasses.
