Summary

For the three weeks Elizabeth's husband is out of town, she shirks her responsibilities more and more. She rarely feels guilty. She is happy to spend time with her girls.

Every time she checks Sasha's social media, she becomes less convinced she was actually pregnant.

One day on Elizabeth's way out of the building with the girls, they take the stairs instead of the elevator, passing an unfamiliar man. The girls greet him. In the middle of the night, something explodes in the hall. The building fills with smoke. Everyone evacuates. Outside in the cold, Elizabeth realizes Josslyn is missing. No one knows where she is. Then the cops question Elizabeth about Josslyn. They also show her screenshots from the security camera footage. The man they passed in the hall earlier that day killed Josslyn. Elizabeth is rattled.
