Summary

In Chapter 25, “Gray Area,” Opal was feeling weak from her treatment, but went to Sean’s house to find Orvil. She knocked on the door and watched the security camera move with her movements (245). She thought about her family and the past. When nobody answered, Opal slumped down and fell asleep.

In Chapter 26, “Rave,” Sean’s dad left on an alleged business trip and did not come back. Meanwhile, Sean stopped going to school. He and Orvil spent their days getting high together. Orvil sometimes wondered if his family knew what he was doing.
