Anita

Anita is the wife of Adam and the mother of Laura. Anita lives her entire adult life in France, remaining in a relationship with Adam since their college days, but she was born and raised in the African island country of Mauritius. Adam and Anita visit Mauritius early in their relationship when Antica's father, Philip, is killed in an automobile accident. Anita works in the town writing small pieces for the local newspaper.

Anita quickly hires Adéle as a nanny for Laura after a chance meeting, and discovering their shared Mauritian heritage. However, despite their initial friendliness, Anita begins to selfishly unbalance the relationship, not only requiring extra work from Adéle, but also privately writing Adéle's biography, detailing the most intimate moments of her life. When Anita sees Adéle reading the manuscript, she reacts with vicious anger, which prompts Laura to push Adéle...
