Summary

In Chapter 47, Ella allowed herself to become friends with Katherine again even though she believed she was dumb for doing so. Because Ella wanted her friends to give her a second chance, Ella decided to give Katherine a second chance. Regardless, Ella was not able to trust Katherine the way she had in the past.

Katherine gave Ella the gift of a key to her house. It gave Ella a place to go after school where she felt safe because Leroy still came and went in their house occasionally.
