Summary
"From: To:" is told from the third person, and describes a group of people in Harlem who are finally allowed to "respond" to the death of a murderer (20). They were prevented from mourning those who were killed by lynchings, or raging against those who created laws that killed their ancestors. Now, they celebrate the death of Hitler by writing "From Harlem, To Hitler" on the shell of a bomb, and setting it off (20).
In "Beauty's Nest," four soldiers visit the Grand Canyon after returning from war in 1951. They are moved by its vast beauty, and wonder if "such a landscape" could also exist in them.
