Summary

In Change of Plan, Thales looks into W&P's security and watches Cromwell and Magda in his office. A soldier comes in and tells Cromwell that his time has come. Cromwell offers him copious amounts of money and a claim to his empire, but the soldier declines and threatens them. Magda throws an empty beaker at his head and Thales inspects it from his monitor. It had contained the retrovirus designed by the mathematician, but it had actually been designed to kill Cromwell instead of granting him longevity. Thales tells the soldier that Cromwell will die within five minutes and the soldier allows him to die from the tainted retrovirus. Cromwell asks him if he empowered to perform weddings and the soldier obliges them.
