Summary
In “Closely Coupled Forms of Nothing in Particular,” Hiro buys Kern a tailored suit by renowned designer, Mr. Li. Hiro tells Kern that he is his new weapon that the suit is probably more expensive than everything else he has ever owned (260). Kern feels uncomfortable in the expensive new suit. They visit a Hong Kong mall and Hiro provides Kern with a Heckler-Kock Bullpup, which he says is a capital crime to have in the New Territories (263). Hiro offers Kern a drink but Kern refuses and says that "it kills endurance" (263). Hiro drinks from the minibar and watches a movie.
