Part Four: Insight: Chapters 63 - 67 Summary
Tory puts the fingerprint report into her bag. She thinks about it all, allowing the anger to blossom until she flares. Then Hollis's cigar smoke leads her straight to the study. The study is cavernous. She finds nothing in the desk, and forces herself to think, knowing she'll never have this chance again. She closes her eyes and breathes, her heightened sense of smell picking up the cleaning solutions she'd used on the dog tag. She follows the scent, finding a small cabinet built into the wall. Breaking the lock, her flare ends and her senses normalize. There are three items in the cabinet. A photo of a younger Hollis pointing to a pair of eagles on Cole Island; legal documents confirming the sale of Cole Island and a small velvet box with two dog...
