Part Three: Incubation: Chapters 47 - 50 Summary

Hi and Shelton head to the CU campus after school. After two hours of searching, they still haven't found anything conclusive beyond the fact that Parvoviruses are species specific. There is one type - erythroviruses - that involves a Parvo B19 bug which was the first to infect humans. The virus causes fever, fatigue, coughs, and sounds similar to what they are experiencing, but B19 is only supposed to infect humans. They copy the items and leave. Ben and Tory, meanwhile, break into Karsten's office. The only roadblock is his secretary, Cordelia Hoke. A chain smoker, it is only a matter of time before she goes for a smoke and they sneak past her desk and inside. Tory finds a key to the filing cabinet in the chimp skull on his desk, and soon discovers...
