The next day at school, Tory spends her lunch hour researching parvovirus, learning it often kills the host in days. Hi joins her, and they go over the symptoms and stages of the virus. The more they learn, the more angry they become. The real question is how Coop contracted the virus to begin with. Tory explains the cleaning and decontamination they will have to go through. As Tory is looking at picture of wolf cubs on line, Jason comes up behind her and teases her about her lack of attendance at the party he'd invited her to. The Tripod shows up, and shortly afterward, so do Chance and Hannah. They are all headed down to see Madison's new Beamer and Chance invites Tory to join them, but she declines.
