Chapter 54 Summary
Once again, the Mastermind walks through the Cross home while they sleep. At 3 am, he sits at the piano and thinks of how he is superior to Cross in every way, even music. After reviewing his whole plan in his mind, he decides that tonight is the perfect night to kill Cross. He silently makes his way through the house. In Cross's room, he is shocked to find Cross's daughter asleep in a chair beside the bed. He fantasizes about killing the whole family first. Then, he spots Cross's injury. He decides that he will wait until Cross recovers.
