The poem is unique among the poems we have read thus far in its subject. Nature is celebrated in a manner more Whitman-esque than the other poems, where nature tends to be used as a field of description for human subjects. Here nature is not simply a setting or a mine of images and figures for describing humans. It is the subject proper of this celebratory poem.
