Structure
Victory. Stand! Is told in four chapters. The first chapter is titled “Country Boy” and tells of Smith’s upbringing in Texas. This is a difficult time for his family, and his whole story of his life at this time revolves around his family. This is because they live far away from their nearest neighbors, and as such, they only see other people at school or at church. The rest of their time is spent together, and it is likely partly because of this that the values of Smith’s parents are instilled so deeply in him.
