Summary
P. 181 – 213. John and Jason recall their Halloween partying, with John talking a lot about how angry he was about so many men wanting to spend time with Edward, Jason talking about how unattractive he felt, and both of them talking about how bad the party was and how they both wanted to do drugs.
Narration describes the wedding of the owner of John’s company, who married the daughter of a man who had become rich and famous by making his name a trademark and selling the rights to use it to other people. Commentary describes how the idea of being married until they died was an “old leftover thing that people said because they were supposed to” (185).
The owner of the company where John’s friend Kevin works throws a party the night before the election. Jason, John, and Edward stand together...
