Summary
P. 154 – 181. The City gears up for the election, narration commenting on how clever the Mayor is being with his campaigning, based on his belief that most of the time, people vote for what they already have, rather than risking change.
John tries to set up a time to get together with Tyler, who keeps making excuses. John chats with Fred overseas (who tells John that Tyler is not really worth it) and with Chad (who angrily tells John that Tyler is behaving really badly). The day after he goes out partying to several bars, John hears from a woman he works with that Tyler was out with someone unattractive even though he had told John he was too busy to go out. In spite of his resentment and frustration, John continues to try to get together with Tyler.
