Point of View

The novel is told in a third-person limited point of view through the eyes of Vera and her four suspects: Julia, Oliver, Riki, and Sana. During Vera's chapters, the narrator sounds more witty and proud. This exemplifies Vera's personality and innate ego. While this may feel like an omniscient narrator at first, it is clear that Vera thinks these things about herself. At the same time, Vera's perspective also shows the parts of herself that she does not want to acknowledge. Guilt, for example, is something that she refuses to acknowledge, but the reader sees that she is still aware of the feeling. Vera's chapters are the most prevalent of the characters.
