Part Two: Chapters 12-13 (pg 153 - 180) Summary
Four months have passed since Alyx and Joss left Raine's camp. Upon leaving, the two discover that Alyx is pregnant. As her stomach swells, Alyx is afraid she will become a burden to Joss, but she is finally happy that she still has a piece of Raine with her.
Thanks to their musical talents, the two look for work as traveling musicians. They stop at many noble houses and perform for the aristocrats. Once or twice they perform for a distant cousin's of Raine's. Joss gathers news of the Montgomerys for Alyx. Apparently Raine is still safe in the forest and Judith and Bronwyn have had their babies.
