Dionysus in San Francisco Chapter 3 Summary

Gabrielle, Louis, and Lestat continue their reunion and try to determine the source of the power behind all the other vampires bursting into flames. Lestat begins to fear that aside from putting himself in danger, he might be inadvertently putting those he loves in danger's path as well. After Gabrielle and Louis leave for dawn, Lestat again gets the message about danger. He catches unrecognizable images of snow and ice. He cannot put the pieces together to figure out what it all means. As he goes out into the rising sun to bury himself for the day he finally recognizes that it is Akasha that has risen. When he lies down in his underground crypt, he feels a cold hand close upon his and he knows that she is with him.
