Part 7, Chapter 13 Summary
As Marius drinks from Akasha he is privy to the images that she passes to him, which includes their history. When he wakes up, he sees that Akasha is still standing motionless in the middle of the room. He whisks them away to safety in Antioch and remarks on the little changes that have occurred over the years he has kept them. Marius talks of his history and how he has lived with the Mother and the Father. He admits how he too had gone into the earth on several occasions to be brought out by them again and again. Ultimately, he tells Lestat that as vampires, they have to true place in the world.
