Part 7, Chapter 3 Summary
Lestat finds Marius dressed as he is, in proper eighteenth century clothing. Marius tells Lestat that it is not uncommon for vampires to go into the earth as Lestat had done. Those that survive throughout the ages do this. Lestat wonders how Marius found him and Marius tells him that he either read the messages, or saw them through other means. Marius agrees to tell Lestat what he knows but does not promise that he can answer his questions. Before he begins his tale, he urges Lestat to go with him into another part of the house so that he may show him Those Who Must Be Kept.
