Part 5, Chapter 2 Summary

As they arrive back at Lestat's lair, Armand is almost completely healed. He tries to reach out to both Gabrielle and Lestat. He longs for their love and companionship. He seeks to form a new coven with them, but they refuse. Armand's defeat with his coven has left him feeling lost. He attempts to manipulate them by telling them that he has the answers they seek. They find out that he does not.

Part 5, Chapter 2 Analysis

Armand continues his plea to have them join him but they again refuse. In an instance of foreshadowing, Armand warns them that they will separate one day in the not-too-distant future. He tells Lestat how even now, Gabrielle wonders how she will ever get free of him. In turn, Lestat offers Armand the theatre to take care of. The vampires there will need him to...
