Part 3, Chapter 6 Summary
The vampires' intrusion startles and scares Gabrielle. She and Lestat agree that the tower is no longer a safe place for them to stay during the daylight hours. Lestat suggests going to the nearby village and sleeping in the church since the other vampires would not step foot inside it. They reach the church as the sunrise begins to burn Gabrielle. Lestat brings her to an old burial crypt that has not been used in years. They climb in and are safe from the oncoming sunrise.
Part 3, Chapter 6 Analysis
Once again, Lestat defies the myths about vampires and churches by taking Gabrielle there in order to find a resting place during the daylight hours. As Lestat knew, they would not be followed into the church. A key to Lestat's thinking is that he does not fear to go into the church...
