Part 3, Chapter 5 Summary

As Lestat and Gabrielle prepare to go back to the tower, they realize that the presence is at their lair. This infuriates Lestat and he seeks to challenge them. They reach the tower and the vampires are huddled around the windows. Lestat lights a fire to scare them off and they begin to leave. As the intruding vampires depart, they call Lestat and Gabrielle blasphemers. Before they leave the property they kill Lestat's stable boy.

Part 3, Chapter 5 Analysis

The presence finally shows itself to Lestat and Gabrielle. The unanswered questions about Nicki are about to be answered. As the other vampires leave Lestat's property, they dress the dead stable boy in a red frock coat that seems familiar to Lestat.
