Part 2, Chapter 5 Summary

Lestat takes the time to investigate the other rooms of the tower and goes to where the sarcophagus is. In this room he finds his red cloak and a set of fine clothes already laid out for him. After he changes clothes, he sees the treasure chest and opens it. When he sees all the gold, jewels, and other priceless items, he knows that he will always have enough money for anything. He wonders if these are things Magnus has stolen from his victims. Beyond that, he ponders what it will be like to live as a vampire and feed off of the blood of others.
