Part 1, Chapter 6 Summary

Lestat's mother comes to see him in his room at home. She believes that it is her failing condition that Lestat has come undone. She offers him gold to take with him and Nicholas into Paris. Although she knows she will not live long, she urges Lestat to take his chances with Nicki. He does not want to leave her while she still lives, but she insists that this is her dying wish to know that he is in Paris. Since Nicki's father heard about their little secret, they need to leave right away.
