Chapters 11-12 Summary

In Chapter 11, the girls are waiting for Mr. Nagy's art class, and Rose is listening to Mia trying to spin the rumors about her parents, painting them as advisors, not servants. Queen Tatiana is visiting the school that night, All Saints' Day, and the girls plan to go, though Rose has nothing to wear.

Rose is now taking four hours a day of training with Dimitri, in addition to classes. He teaches her techniques for fighting someone bigger and stronger, but Dimitri is still more adept than she is. As they are leaving, she tries to attack him by surprise, but he quickly turns the tables. After he tackles her, there is a moment of sexual tension.

The cafeteria is decorated elegantly for the assembly. The visiting royals enter and sit at the main table in the front of the room...
