Summary
In "Debra Ann," D. A. is jealous that Jesse's stories are better than hers. Really, Jesse is careful about what he tells her, omitting graphic details regarding his time in Vietnam, and his cousin's hostility towards him. One day, D. A. gets a postcard from her mother. She shows it to Jesse. The picture and the postmark are different; realizing she has no idea where Ginny is, D. A. runs home to cry. D. A. remembers all her drives with Ginny, their random adventures. Her mother always wanted to take trips just for the sake of getting out of town.
