Summary
Part Three opens with a quote from Yuval Noah Harari saying that humankind’s big project in the twenty-first century is to obtain powers of creation and destruction during evolution.
In Chapter 13, Logan succumbs to blinding pain and convulsions as his cells struggle to evolve. He feels his mind falling apart and his heart stops for over two minutes. When he comes to for a brief moment, he feels his mind continue dividing as darkness takes hold. When he wakes up again, he is uncertain if he has survived, or if his body is waiting to give out. Days go by and his strength does not return as the fever gets worse. He suffers a horrible kaleidoscope of nightmares and versions of himself.
