Summary

In Chapter 10, Logan reaches Silverton, Colorado, and continues on to the address Andrew provided. After loading his weapon, Logan heads up the mountain to look over the building for a safe distance away. Then, he sneaks inside and finds pictures of his family. In the kitchen, Kara asks if Andrew is dead and confirms that she does not know why 13.6% of the people she upgraded died. However, she says she can live with that level of failure as she prepares a transmissible version. When Logan points out that means at least a billion will die, she says it is for the greater good. Logan says that higher intelligence does not make someone good and demands to see proof that the upgrade will fix anything. Kara says his argument for compassion is a waste of time.
