Chapter 9

In Chapter 9, Maise gets a text from Evan asking her to meet him at home. She ignores the text. When she closes her locker in preparation for going to her next class, Hiyam is waiting for her. She takes Maise up to the school roof. Hiyam tells Maise she will supply her with the drugs she wants in the quantity she wants them. Hiyam even offers to pay street price in exchange for not telling the principal about Maise and Evan. She even says she won’t lie and say that Evan had sex with her as well, which would be a felony since she is only seventeen.
