Unstoppable Us by Yuval Noah Harari, is a history book geared for children. Harari uses engaging examples and illustrations to tell the story of how Homo sapiens, meaning humans such as us, came to take over the world.

Part 1: "Humans Are Animals” begins the history lesson by describing that humans differentiated themselves from other animals by using tools and learning to create and control fire. When humans, whom Harari refers to as simply Sapiens, began spreading throughout the world, all other forms of humans, like Neanderthals, Floresians, and Denisovians became extinct. Harari says the Sapiens killed or starved the other forms of humans to become dominant.

Part 2: "The Sapiens’ Superpower” explains that Sapiens are super powerful in their ability to cooperate together in large groups. Sapiens also have the ability to create stories and make others believe the stories. These stories help leaders to control and guide other Sapiens.

Part 3: "How Our Ancestors Lived” describes a few things that are known about how our ancestors lived in tribes. Harari admits that many details of their lives are unknown.

Part 4: "Where Did All the Animals Go?” describes how Sapiens were responsible for the extinction of many breeds of animals, such as Mammoths, without realizing what they were doing. Harari requests that modern Sapiens use their ability to cooperate and to spread stories about the possible extinction of more animals, such as blue whales, if proper safeguards are not taken.
