Summary
On a Wednesday afternoon, an unnamed woman sits at her desk. She scrolls through pages of text, stopping every so often to edit something she sees. At one o'clock, she tells her coworkers that she is leaving for lunch. While in the cafe, she sees a man enter through the door. He is on his phone, and he looks at her apologetically. When he finally comes over to the table, he apologizes. The woman tells him, "Oh, Simon, you’re so important-looking, I’m afraid you’re going to be assassinated" (2).
