Summary

Chapter 27 - The next day Kennedy remarks that it’s New Year’s Eve and that everyone is avoiding the subject of the day like the plague. Kennedy tells them to stop tiptoeing around the subject because she can take it. But, the others tell her that they aren’t much for New Year’s Eve, despite the fact that Kennedy knows at least Elle is lying. The group switches back to the topic at hand, which is how to get back to the prison to look for the Shift. Priest suggests sneaking out in the middle of the day since Gabriel stays up all night.
