Summary

Chapter 1 - Kennedy and Jared are in a jail. Kennedy is on the outside of a cell looking at Jared chained to a wall. She mentions how Jared looks normal, except for the fact that there’s a demon named Andras possessing him. Jared thanks her for coming when no one else does. Kennedy tells him they are all trying to figure out what to do. He goes to touch her, but Kennedy warns him not to as the iron bars he grabs burn his skin. The chapter ends with Kennedy telling Jared that she knows he’d never hurt her. Jared laughs as Andras takes over, and the demon tells Kennedy that she shouldn’t be so sure "little dove." This is the only chapter that relates present events. For the most part, all of the chapters that follow are a flashback...
