Marguerite D'Aubert Goudeau

Marguerite (Maggie) is a college student. She attends Tulane University as a law student and studies with her group of stuck up "so called" friends. Her father is the senator of Louisiana, and her mother is a Cajun woman who commits suicide to escape the life of wife of a senator. Maggie feels very alone since her mother dies and starts to slip into depression upon the death of her dear friend, Nick. He seems the only person who truly understands her.

Maggie has always felt that she didn't belong in her own social life. She didn't exactly want to become a lawyer. She does this for her father. She feels as though she is meant for something else. The closest thing to her since Nick's death is Wren Tigarian. She meets him at a bar called the Sanctuary. Maggie's stuck up friends pick on Wren...
