Chapter 10 Summary
Maggie lay in the bed with Wren on the ship, stroking his hair until he woke up from the tranquilizer. She asks Wren about the day his parents died. She wants to know, because there may be something in his story that can prove his innocence. He tells her about his childhood and how his father hired Zack to teach him to use his powers. It was hard for Wren to change forms and stay that way for any length of time, so after a week, Zack gave up and his father ended up teaching him. Wren tells her it's the only time he was let out of his cage by his parents, and it was a happy memory for him.
One night after his father finally let him have a room of his own, he hears smashing in the hallway. He goes...
