Chapter 2 Summary

Marguerite leaves and wants to hail a taxi. There are none to be found, so she starts walking in hopes that one will appear before long. She feels someone watching her. She looks around and sees four rough looking guys. They are headed toward her, and she feels frightened. One man grabs her purse, and another one pushes her to the ground and rips her shirt. She sees that one man has a gun. Out of nowhere, Wren appears and fights the men off of her. The man with the gun shoots at Wren, but seems to miss him. Wren's strength is amazing to Marguerite.

The men turn and run away, and Wren asks Marguerite if she's o.k. She's a little shaken up, but alright. Wren hails a cab and takes her home. She thanks him and tells him she owes him...
