Summary
“Unearthed”, narrated by Donovan (IQ: 112) As he describes the reasons for his being placed in detention (broadcasting his jokingly negative opinion about an important basketball game over his school’s PA system), Donovan also describes how his life and character are defined by an irresistible drive to be spontaneous, rebellious, and a little dangerous. He also comments on how he searched online (Ancestors.com) for historical relatives who had the same tendency towards anarchy. He goes on to describe how he escaped detention with the help of his two friends and allies, “The Daniels” (Sanderson and Nussbaum), and how once free, he and The Daniels head for the gym to watch the game.
