Summary
Phelps-Roper recalls getting in touch with her father's parents shortly after leaving the church, as she had been forbidden from speaking to them while at Westboro. She and Grace also surprised their brother Josh with a visit. He had a house, a master's degree, a wife, and a baby, and Megan marveled at his life and accomplishments.
Meanwhile, Megan and Grace had a complex relationship after leaving the church, as Megan felt she had to look after her younger sister, but they often quarreled. Megan also began speaking to Chad again; he had disappeared because he had been very ill. Grace hated Chad and believed he had convinced Megan to leave Westboro.
