Turin now believes that he is an outlaw and that Thingol will pursue him to face judgment. In an effort to avoid this fate, he makes his way alone through the land, staying constantly on the move. One day, he manages to stumble upon a band of outlaws. Though they would like to slay him, he quickly downs one of their numbers and claims his place for his own.
