Summary
Peralta begins Chapter 12 with a description of the day he moved into his accommodations at Princeton, helped by Mom, Yando, and some other relatives. They all left as soon as the unloading was done, he says, to give him some space. He then registered for classes, trying to register for more than the maximum and being politely told that he needed to take things easy. Then, he says, as part of his first few days of getting settled, he had to make some arrangements for financial assistance, one of which involved him setting up a bank account. He worried that his lack of papers and documentation would make it impossible for him to do so, but the bank allowed him to use his student identification instead, establishing him as an international student.
