Chapters Forty - Forty Two Summary

Perry watches as Aria manages to get into the black truck to search for Lumina. He sees her dropping a Guardian suit and boots out the back, along with a helmet. She drags them under the truck and puts them on. Then she signals him and Perry nocks an arrow, aiming for the spotlight that shines on the entrance.

When the light goes out, a dozen men come down the ramp to see what happened as Aria slips inside. Walking with purpose, she searches, seeing people lying in bunks stacked along the side walls. She hears Doctor Ward and for a minute they just stare at each other. He leads her down the hall, and she follows, already hearing in his voice that Lumina is dead. He pulls a gurney out and leaves her alone...
