Chapters Seven - Nine Summary

Aria follows the Guardians to a transportation hub, still wearing the Medsuit. Without windows, Aria has no idea how far they've gone. The Dragonwing slows and the Guardians all don their helmets. The door opens but there is no sign of Bliss, and instead, desert stretches as far as she can see. The hatch closes and the Dragonwings leave. She watches until they are lost to sight, marking the place where they disappeared in her mind. Heat soaks through her suit and it turns itself on to cool her down. She looks to the sky and sees Aether for the first time, like lightning trapped in currents of the sky, some areas thin like veils and others thick like liquid currents. A truly incredible sight follows when the sun comes out for a brief appearance. She coughs...
