Chapter 15

Emily and the others want to know what happened, but Shay is very vague on the details, not wanting to get Odin in any more trouble. Shay gets a call from Rachel, who pleads with her not to go to the police. Shay convinces everyone to help her hide the dog from Twist.

Shay names the dog X. X only eats and drinks when other people aren’t looking. Shay is worried because X is clearly having a hard time just moving around. They can’t go to the vet because Odin believes he was tagged. Shay hopes X will get better once he’s had a chance to rest and eat more.

Shay spends the next day learning how to paint from Twist. She’s later interrupted by Emily, who says X is having a seizure. Shay comes clean to Twist...
