Summary

Chapter 31

Kennedy draws the Grand Pentagram to capture Darien. She works quickly to draw the pentagram while she thinks about how she’s going to get him back to his old cell to be trapped. She holds up the disk to the shift to get Darien’s attention as she tries to hide the pentagram. He disappears into the pentagram, trapped. Darien tells Kennedy to put the shift back or innocent people will die, as that is what ‘she’ has told him. When Kennedy asks who 'she' is, Darien says that 'she' is the one that hid the shift piece. The twins shout to Kennedy from outside the room not to believe him. Darien goes on to explain that he killed six people and gave his life to protect the piece and that Andras is by the shift.
