Summary

Chapter 13

The chapter starts with the group outside of the Lilburn Mansion getting ready to go inside. From beside Kennedy, Lukas begins to explain about the first time he saw a ghost. He was six and the ghost was playing cat’s cradle while talking about catching dreams with it. In the morning he had wakened to find the cat's cradle string there. He explains to Kennedy that not all ghosts are bad ones and that some are easy to relate to. He gives the cat’s cradle to her as they head back to the group. When they arrive Jared narrows his eyes from the van while Alara frowns like they are in trouble.

Alara tells Kennedy to get a jug of holy water as the others start getting their other weapons. When Kennedy looks at the spikes Lukas is given she...
