Summary
The box had many layers and seemed to be made of tattooed skin. These boxes were used to send Shahpal, Dunia’s father, messages from the human world. The box began to tell of a Mr Airagaira in the city of B in a husky female voice, addressing King Shahpal directly. Mr Airagaira woke up one morning to megaphones and sirens in the street, the sudden start of a new nation. He was told he had been fired from his job and must go to build the machine. All citizens were now required to build the machine and all their previous possessions and skills were fed into it. Soon there was not much left other than the machine, not enough food, water, medication, or other things. People began to lie to each other so as not to speak against the regime...
