Summary

Ghazali, during his lifetime, had freed Zumurrud from a bottle and therefore been granted three wishes. Ghazali asked to use his wishes later, and Zumurrud was generally impressed by his unusual wisdom. At the time of the strangenesses, after his grave-to-grave argument with Ibn Rushd, Ghazali called Zumurrud. Ghazali asked him to instill fear on humanity to drive them back towards god, to have them fear god and then seek god’s shelter.

Zumurrud brought three companions (Zabardast, Shining Ruby, and Ra’im), and Ra’im began by swallowing the Staten Island ferry as a sea monster.
