Summary
When Bosch arrives at the San Fernando station, Lourdes is already at work, preparing to research a letter of complaint that Jose Jr. had written to the state medical board. The entire department watches the security footage of the pharmacy murders, in which they see the two ski-mask-wearing killers come in, quickly and purposefully shoot the two pharmacists, and then knock pills around in an attempt to make it look like a robbery. Bosch goes to buy a burner cell phone is order to discreetly call Soto, and thank her for giving him the file about the Preston Borders case. She is slightly irritated with Bosch and urges him to look more closely at the file.
Lourdes discovers that Jose Jr.'s letter of complaint was about a pharmacy in Pacoima that had been over-prescribing the painkiller oxycodone. Lourdes and Bosch go to...
